NKHS Baseball Corn Hole Fund Raiser today

New Kent High School will be hosting a Corn Hole Tournament baseball fund raiser today March 28.

Here’s the message from NK Varsity Baseball Coach Ronnie Cox

NKYA Parents and Supporters,
I just wanted to extend a special invitation inviting you to attend and/or participate in our Corn Hole Tournament baseball fund raiser. We are trying to procure funds to purchase a cover for our field. The last few years have been very difficult (scheduling, practices, etc.) due to baseball’s susceptibility to poor weather conditions. We start this Saturday at 9 am and plan to be finished by 1 pm. The location is the game field and the cost is $50 per team.
We Plan to:
1. give all registered players a free lunch (hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drink)
2. have “nutritious and delicious” fresh made pop corn and shaved ice ($1 a piece)
3. have a “Sponge Bob” bouncy castle (Bring the Kids…my players can baby sit while you play!)
4. bake sale with fresh goodies made by grand ma (not really, but they will be tasty)
5. car wash…
yes we will wash your car (any donation would be accepted but not required)
6.
Silent Auction (we have gift cards to Rose and Crown, 3rd Base Grill, Sun’s Cafe, Antonio’s, and Panda Garden, PLUS 4 free rounds of golf, including cart fee, at Viniterra, 4 rounds of golf at Brickshire, Royal NK or Stonehouse, 4 free rounds of golf at Colonial Heritage, or a $50 gift card to Brookwood golf club, and 4 water park passes to the Great Wolf Lodge…
over $1200 worth of items!)
7. Speed gun radar (to prove to your kids you still can throw a “heater”) ($1 per ball)
8. Authentic game worn retro NK varsity baseball jerseys ($10)
…New Kent Game Hats ($15)…while supplies last
9. We plan to give the winning team a monetary award that will be based on the number of participants…so bring your friends
We hope to make this a fun experience for the community as well as a team building activity for the players in the program. They have worked hard to put this together and we would love to have you out to share the experience with them.
Thanks for all the wonderful things you continue to do (often very much behind the scenes) for our kids in our community! Let me know if you have any questions, take care.
